Barnsley resident treated to autobiography reading by pupils

84-year-old Ron Lindsey was surprised by the pupils, who visited Deangate Care Home, in Mapplewell, to recite their favorite stories.
Ron enjoyed a career in the army and as a professional driver, launching his own taxi and luxury car firms, before retiring and eventually moving into the home in 2014.
Eleven year four pupils from Darton Primary School visited the home as part of National Storytelling Week, which runs from 30th January to 6th February.

Johnny Edwards, manager at Deangate Care Home, said: "Ron is extremely proud of his autobiography and he really enjoyed seeing and hearing the school pupils reading passages to him.
"It was great to see all our residents enjoying the company of the pupils and listening to their favorite stories. We can't thank Darton Primary School enough for coming in."
